I am Stuart Lansdowne, I am your tutor and lecturer for practical work on the lens based media course.
Who am I?
I am a multi disciplined creative practitioner who has worked in a wide range of creative industries.

What do I do?
I have been designing and building websites since 1999. My first sites were built by hand coding HTML.
I design and build WordPress websites for a wide range of clients.
I manage social media marketing for small businesses.
I run email marketing campaigns sending out 100,000’s HTML emails.
I have been a graphic designer since 1988 when I first left college.
I design a wide range of visual material for print and web including logos, brochures, cd covers, book jackets etc.
As a film maker I have worked in all aspects of film making.
I started by working as an assistant animator at Pinewood studios.
I have produced, directed and edited music videos, and worked on documentaries as location manager and camera assistant. Filming has taken me to places such as Pakistan and Glastonbury Festival.
I have produced two films for Tate St Ives.
I ran an independent gallery for 7 years in St Ives. During this time I produced paintings and mixed media assemblages that were sold in galleries throughout the country.
I am an electronic music producer creating work in a range of genres including ambient, techno, glitch, dubstep and drum and bass.
I bought my first synthesizer when I was 14 and joined my first band aged 16. I taught myself guitar and switched to bass before playing in bands in London and the South East in the 80’s & 90’s.
In the early 90’s I became involved in DJ culture.
I have released two 12″ records one of which was played on Radio 1.
